Thanks to an amazing partnership with the Boston based social enterprise organization More Than Words, in 2013 we were able to distribute over 26,000 new and gently used books to school aged children throughout the city of Lynn. The beneficiaries included Lynn Public Schools, day cares, after school programs, church groups, youth advocacy groups and the many children who come through our lobby daily as part of our Family Services program.
We have recently lost funding for the amazing Big Red Bookshelf program. We are working hard to revive the initiative that had such a positive impact on our community. We are actively looking for funders, grants and supporters.
