Centerboard Arts has three main goals. The first is to improve the aesthetics of downtown Lynn and the second is to foster an economic spark to the area. These two goals add up to the third, developing a successful creative economy for the city. The initiatives we have undertaken to date, such as the Traveling Piano and our Public Art Photo project have shown a noticeable increase in revenue for Lynn’s downtown-based businesses. This increased activity allows these businesses to thrive, expand and create new jobs.

We know that by bringing people in to the downtown area to experience theater, concerts and art events we are creating not only awareness of the cultural diversity that the city has to offer but also a unique and entertaining destination for all of the residents of the North Shore.

Creativity is a collective process. By focusing on Lynn’s assets and unifying its neighborhoods, residents, businesses and fellow arts organizations, downtown Lynn will become a vibrant community filled with arts, culture and economic opportunities. Come see for yourself!

In an amazing follow-up to our very successful public art event last summer, Centerboard Arts presents Public Art Exhibit 2.0! We put out a call to artists far and wide to acquire 8 more photos to enlarge and hang in the downtown area. In order to commission the artists and fund the project we started the Public Art Exhibit 2.0 Kickstarter campaign. The fundraiser was a huge success and we thank everyone who participated!
