Caring for Children

 

When: Any day(s) during the week:

  • 9:00-12:00
  • 1:00-4:00
  • 6:00-8:00

How to help:
While Centerboard clients are receiving services, volunteers are needed to watch their children in Centerboard’s playspace.


Graphic Designer

When:
Per project

How to help:
From time to time our arts department has different graphic design projects pop up. Most are quick and easily accomplished!

  

Big Red Bookshelf Program

This is an initiative that distributes free books to promote literacy in Lynn.

When:
Variable times of day between 8:00am and 5:00pm.

How to help:
Volunteers needed to help sort, label and distribute books to local schools and organizations around Lynn.

 


ESOL classes

When:
2-4 hrs/week.  Morning and evening shifts available

How to help:
Teach an ESOL class to adults who need to improve their English language and skills.

 

 

 

Lynn’s Knit-a-thon

When: 
Every Saturday 11:00-1:00

How to help: 
Volunteers can attend the knitting group and knit or crochet squares that will later be assembled into blankets for transitioning families in our program. Volunteers can also knit on their own and mail in squares to the Centerboard office.

 

 

VITA Volunteers

When: January--April

How to help:

Greeters, Screeners and Tax Preparers are needed for our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Volunteers will be asked to commit to at least one shift per week (or once every two weeks) for the following schedule:
Tuesdays 10-2 or 4-8
Thursdays 4-8
Saturdays 10-2
