The Staff At Centerboard
Mark DeJoie Esq., is the CEO of Centerboard. Mark has been leading the organization for over 17 years and has overseen tremendous growth including the increase of our Housing Services and the creation of our Youth Services and Community Programming, all of which have become mainstays for Centerboard. Mark’s unique vision for Centerboard allows for creative and collaborative processing with all Centerboard staff, allowing for a collective approach to serving families, youth and the community.
Heather Hildebrand, LSW, is the Chief Operating Officer for Centerboard. She has over 25 years in the human services field and 20 years of managerial experience. Heather has overseen the creation and development of the youth and family division and her leadership guides the overall programming and staffing needs of the organization. Heather is also the architect of Centerboard’s rigorous professional development and cultural diversity awareness training.
Keith Bransfield has worked for Centerboard for 8 years as its CFO and has worked within the Greater Lynn community for over 35 years as a volunteer, Board Member and professional. Keith lives in Lynn with his wife Maryann and their family.
Karen Sarro is a natural people person and has worked as a Human Resource Practitioner in the nonprofit and hospitality industries. She received her BS in Business Administration and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Endicott College in Beverly. Karen has maintained her certification as a Professional in Human Resources from SHRM since 2009. Karen’s valuable experience and knowledge provides Centerboard with support in recruitment, training, development, benefits and compliance. In her spare time Karen is an avid New England Patriots fan, enjoys golf, traveling or walking her dog Louie.
Kim Hopkins, LICSW, is the Director of Clinical Services for Centerboard. She has more than 17 years of experience working with youth and families in a variety of settings including residential programs, foster homes, special education day schools, public schools, and outpatient clinics. Kim has been a Collaborative & Proactive Solutions trainer with Lives in the Balance for more than 8 years, and has brought her expertise to Centerboard. She also has a Certificate in Professional Fundraising and is involved with our quality assurance, program development, and grant writing initiatives.
Gary Lyon, MPA is currently a doctorate of education candidate at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Native to North Carolina, he brings his southern charm along with 14 plus years of nonprofit managerial experience to the Youth Services programs. Gary is responsible for the overall operations of Youth Services at Centerboard with the support of his leadership team. Gary effectively trains and manages people and resources that result in impactful successes at Centerboard.
Robin Tobin has been with Centerboard for 14 years and now serves as the Director of Housing Services. Robin brings stability and leadership to our various housing programs and leads a team of over 25 employees. She is certified in a multitude of disciplines including Family Development, Collaborative & Proactive Solutions and Nurturing Families from the Institute for Health & Recovery. Robin also serves on the Advisory Board for the North Shore Department of Transitional Assistance.
As Director of Development at Centerboard, Ray oversees Development related marketing and communications, as well as philanthropic programming inclusive of annual giving, major and planned giving, businesses and corporations, and special event fundraising.
As a long-time Development professional, Ray’s personal mission is to increase the impact of nonprofit organizations, bolster the sustainability of their missions and the effectiveness of their staffs, by designing, implementing and spearheading successful fund raising programs. Ray’s professional Development experience has spanned over 25 years directing the fund raising efforts of The National Center on Family Homelessness, The New England Anti-Vivisection Society, Suffolk University, Cambridge Friends School, and The American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) and the AATS Graham Foundation.
Ray holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism/Public Relations from Suffolk University and lives in Peabody, MA.
